Rachel Dinoff, Registered Occupational Therapist

Rachel graduated from Queen’s University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and in 2019 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.

Rachel’s clinical experience includes mental health counseling, home care services, and inpatient stroke and musculoskeletal rehab. She has worked on multidisciplinary teams in hospital and community settings. She has formal training in several advanced counseling techniques, including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.

Rachel provides input into Cyber-Seniors programs that focus on health and wellness.

Mark Chignell, PhD

Mark Chignell received a PhD degree in psychology from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, and a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. He is a professor of mechanical and industrial engineering with the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. He carries out research in human factors and user interface design, with particular interest in health care, aging, telecommunications, and driving applications.

With the support of AGE-WELL, and a recently received Connaught Innovation Award, Chignell and his group of researchers have developed driving simulators and games that can monitor and improve the cognitive and physical health of older adults.

Mark has been instrumental in helping develop and expanding the Cyber-Seniors’ Dementia Awareness Program funded by Public Health Agency of Canada.

Esme Fuller-Thomson, PhD

Esme Fuller-Thomson is the Director of the Institute for Life Course and Aging at the University of Torontp.  She also serves as a professor in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and is cross-appointed with the Department of Family & Community Medicine and the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. Her major areas of research are the long-term health impacts of adverse childhood experience including maltreatment and parental divorce, grandparents raising grandchildren, social determinants of disability among older adults, and ADHD in adulthood. She has published over 180 peer-reviewed journal articles. She primarily teaches courses in the area of evidence based practice, research methods and gerontology.

Esme played a significant role in the development of Cyber-Seniors’ Dementia Awareness Program funded by Public Health Agency of Canada.

Robin Saunders, PhD

Robin is Director of Graduate Programs in Digital Marketing at Bay Path University. She is a nationally recognized speaker on Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity and Healthcare, Artificial Intelligence, and Impact of Converging Technologies and its Consequences. She is a seasoned educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Cybersecurity and education are her passions and CyberSafeSenior.com and DearRobin.com are her web sites. Robin is also an Ethical Hacker and a Certified Blacklight examiner.

Robin provides expertise in the development of Cyber-Seniors’ cyber-security content.

Skye Leedahl, PhD

Skye Leedahl is a tenure-track faculty member at the University of Rhode Island.  She was hired as part of the Cluster Hire Initiative in Aging & Health.  She has worked in nursing homes, for a U.S. Senator, at a community agency action agency, and as a research project coordinator for various stated-funded program evaluation and research projects.  Dr. Leedahl was the recipient of the prestigious John A. Hartford Doctoral Fellowship in Geriatric Social Work, and she has received awards from the Gerontological Society of America, the University of Rhode Island, and the University of Kansas for her research.  Dr. Leedahl currently teaches a mix of undergraduate and graduate classes about research methods, physical and social environments for older adults, policy issues in health & aging, and public program evaluation.

Skye assists Cyber-Seniors with data analysis and reporting.
