Cognitive Function in Seniors

Presenter Giorgia Alvergue is a fourth year Nursing student at Brock University. Giorgia is currently doing a co-op placement with Niagara Folk Arts in community connections and the seniors 50+ program.

This workshop focuses on memory and cognitive function in seniors. Giorgia will cover what forgetfulness looks like in seniors, briefly go over cognitive function in elders, go through different activities people can do at home, describe activities to help with memory and cognition, for example crafts, brain games, brain teasers, and will give participants links to resources and access to handouts to help guide doing activities at home on their own time.
