We invite teenagers, young adults and individuals of any age who are tech-savvy, to volunteer to help us to deliver tech training and one-on-one phone support services to seniors.

How it works:

  1. Seniors book a one-on-one phone appointment through the link on our home page. We post that appointment to our scheduling software, uSked, and volunteers who have a profile on uSked are able to express their interest in a posting. Our scheduling manager then matches one of the interested volunteers to that appointment. At the appointment time, the volunteer then calls the senior to help them with their tech issue.
  2. Seniors register for one of our daily webinars listed on our Webinars page. We post that webinar to our scheduling software, uSked, and volunteers who have a profile on uSked are able to express their interest in helping with that webinar. Our scheduling manager then matches several of the interested volunteers to help answer questions from seniors during the webinar. To see how the webinars work, please refer to the previous recordings of webinars on our YouTube Channel.

To Volunteer:

ATTENTION:

IF YOU ARE A STUDENT AND ARE WORKING WITH AN INSTRUCTOR TO COMPLETE OUR MENTOR TRAINING PROGRAM, YOUR INSTRUCTOR MAY HAVE SENT YOU A MENTOR REGISTRATION INVITATION. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR INSTRUCTOR BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM BELOW.

  1. Register below to become a volunteer.
  2. Upon registration, you will be directed to the Login page. Once you have logged in to the Cyber-Seniors portal, go to the Mentor Training Program tab. Follow the instructions at the top of that screen to complete the Volunteer setup process.
  3. There is no minimum time commitment. Hours spent volunteering with Cyber-Seniors count towards volunteer service hours. Volunteer assignments are tracked by uSked. Assignments are then assessed by Cyber-Seniors staff and recorded in the Logged Time on the Cyber-Seniors portal. You can download your Volunteer Hours Report from your Dashboard. Cyber-Seniors will make its best effort to accommodate students requiring a certain number of hours for community service or course completion.
